This is one of my very favorite sites. http://gwydir.demon.co.uk/jo/tess/index.htm You can print out grids (graph paper) with different shapes (triangles, hexagons, squares, or combinations of shapes that tessellate, like the triangle grid I posted in the Hoffman Challenge thread. If you save the grid as a GIF file on your computer, you can open a copy of it in MS Paint and color in each triangle the way you want to and then save the result. You can design your own tessellations or see examples and get inspiration from them. No math needed, I promise!!

That's really cool. For Christmas my sister gave me a page of the day calendar, and low and behold on the back is square grid paper. So far it's worked out to be quite a help sitting next to the sewing machine, I just grab a couple of the old sheets and I'm off. Now I'm wishing for a peg board to keep track of all my little notes. hahaha!
